PLAYing Through Daily Activities
Workshop Description
Bring Emotion and Body Regulation into your home using the Sensory Emotional Engagement Model™
We all process sensory information in slightly different ways. Some of us enjoy certain things, while others prefer something different. All day, every day, we fluctuate within a range of organization, attention, calm, excitement, and various emotions. We learn ways to regulate our emotional responses, attention, and organization based on the expectations of the environment as well as the expectations and reactions of others. Some children have difficulty understanding sensory information and how to respond to it, which can make daily tasks and transitions uncomfortable and challenging.
This workshop will provide you with sensory-emotional strategies for daily routines, such as getting dressed and making transitions.
In this workshop, you will learn valuable strategies and develop an understanding of:
- An Introduction to PLAYing through daily activities
-
How to meet your child in their sensory and emotional state and playfully interact with them to enhance emotion regulation, participation in day-to-day activities and events
