Workshop Description
Bring Emotion and Body Regulation into your home using the Sensory Emotional Engagement Model™.
This workshop will provide both sensory-motor and social-emotional activities for you to use with your child. Designed with younger children in mind (children seven and under), pretend play is used to set the stage for these activities. You will learn ways to use play with your child to enhance sensory, motor, social, and emotional development. Most importantly, you will learn how to use these strategies to build engagement, regulation, and joy within your relationship with your child.
If you have not already, please listen to the foundational course, Understanding Sensory Processing and Your Child's Personality, first. This will provide you with your child's Sensory-Emotional Personality Style(s), which will guide you through this workshop. By understanding Sensory Emotional Personality Styles™, you'll better understand your child's strengths and weaknesses in sensory-motor and social-emotional development and, most importantly, ways to interact with them in both tricky and great times.
In this workshop, you will learn valuable strategies and develop an understanding of:
- The Importance of Play
- Playful Interactions, Environments, and Sensory Experiences Unique to Your Younger Child's Personality Style
-
The Power of YOU and Affect Pairing Unique to Your Child's Personality Style
